Eyeliner gel is becoming more popular these days. Obviously, everyone will have their preference and when weighing up the pros and cons you may have to think about what is best for you, but this is definitely something different to consider. Probably the most inconvenient thing about this type of eyeliner is that it isn’t portable. It usually comes in a little container. You need a steady hand, but if you need to create the smudge effect this will help you along because it slides on easily. If you trying out the smoky look, this method is perfect.
Everyone is different so it is just a matter of trying this out for yourself. Some people will wear a pencil during the day and gel in the evening. Some people are a little weary of wearing this type of eyeliner because of sensitive eyes or contact lenses. Applying eyeliner gel
It is best to start in the middle of the lash and slowly work your way around to the outside corners. You will probably have to lift the eye lid. You should be able to see the liner so give it a generous dose in smooth strokes. The liner should be thicker in the middle and thinned out as you move towards the corners. Moving right across the whole eyelid will really open up the eye. If there is a space left between the eyeliner and the lash line then simply fill it with eye shadow of the same tone.

You will always need to start somewhere and it is far better to choose a brand and product with a good name that is going do you a lot of good. It will leave all of your tears and frustration behind.
- MAC Fluidline Gel – It is not really a surprise that so many people will start off with MAC. It seems to create just the right amount of texture. It is not too rough and will stay on longer than a pencil would. This helps create a cat eye of note so if this is what you want then MAC is what you should be after.
- Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner – This has also become really popular. Some may flinch at the price, but when you find out how long it lasts you should be set at ease. It also does a good job at lasting a long time. For this eyeliner you will need an eyeliner brush.
- Maybelline gel eyeliner – This is an eyeliner that has been reviewed positively in recent times. This eyeliner is not difficult to apply. You will find it in a variety of shades at your local drug store. Probably a bigger bonus is that it is one of the cheaper eyeliners out there.
